Counseling Services
As a grief specialist, certified clinical trauma practitioner, mindfulness-informed professional and a certified provider for the National Institute of Digital Health and Wellness. I use my expertise and counseling approaches to support…
High School Aged Teens struggling with confidence, emotional regulation, family or social expectations, developing healthy mindsets and relationships, technology over-use, and life’s next steps!
Adult Women (18-60) just doing life! Trying to figure out direction or a relationship, struggling to complete college, transitioning or settling into a career path, processing the loss or grief of people, the past or dreams, working out difficult personal or professional relationships and navigating family or societal expectations. Women exploring purpose, who are of child-bearing age or beyond, and find themselves without children by chance or choice. Women challenged with conditions like PCOS or endometriosis resulting in infertility or pregnancy loss, as well as women navigating the emotional stressors that come with menopausal change.
A Purpose Full Path is a private, independently owned practice. I offer a free 15 minute consultation to determine your needs and how counseling may be of help. I offer in-office, virtual and walk & talk sessions. Walk & Talk therapy is not for everyone, appropriateness is explored at time of consult.
For walk & talk sessions I provide a more curated, nature-informed experience for each client. In doing so, I offer a more holistic and time suitable approach, instead of being constrained by managed care mandates on session time, treatment, or location. Please note, if a client elects walk & talk sessions, these are NOT covered by insurance.
Payment for Counseling Services
I am a cashless operating business, meaning I only process transactions via e-commerce. No checks or cash on hand. Clients may choose to use their insurance for in-office or virtual sessions. Walk & Talk sessions are not covered by insurance, however acceptable payments include most credit cards and health spending account HSA or FSA cards. If you choose to use an HSA or FSA card, after payment you will be provided with a bill so that you may attempt reimbursement.
Good Faith Estimates are provided to out-of-network, self-pay, walk & talk clients.

Types of Therapy I Practice
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a type of talk therapy. I help you to identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors. CBT focuses on problem-solving and developing healthier ways of thinking to improve emotional well-being and manage challenges effectively.
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is a therapeutic program. I use mindfulness practices, like meditation and body awareness, to reduce stress. MBSR helps individuals focus on the present moment, manage emotions, and improve overall well-being by fostering relaxation and self-awareness.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a type of talk therapy. I help you manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and develop healthier coping skills. DBT combines acceptance strategies with behavioral techniques and focuses on mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness.
Motivational Interviewing
Motivational Interviewing is a counseling approach that helps people explore and resolve ambivalence about making positive changes. While respecting your autonomy and values, I use open-ended questions, active listening, and empathy to encourage self-motivation and commitment to making the change you desire.
Narrative Therapy
Narrative Therapy is a counseling approach that helps individuals reshape their personal stories. Narrative Therapy views people as separate from their problems. I help by empowering you to reframe negative narratives, uncover your strengths, and create more positive, meaningful life stories through reflection and collaborative conversation.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a therapeutic framework that helps individuals accept difficult emotions, commit to meaningful actions, and live in alignment with their values. I help by facilitating mindfulness practices and emphasizing psychological flexibility. ACT helps you learn how to reduce your struggle with negative thoughts that result in improvement to your overall well-being.
Counseling FAQs
What type of therapy do you offer?
Individual therapy. I do not work with couples, but I do work with an adolescent and their parent/s.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes. The insurance providers I accept are Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, Oxford, Oscar, some BCBS plans, Quest Behavioral, and Carelon Behavioral.
What should I expect in my first session?
The first session is called an intake session. It is usually 60-75 minutes in length. We review the forms you signed before scheduling your appointment. I ask questions about your current life situation, personal/family medical and mental history, and trauma history. We do a self-harm risk assessment and begin developing your goals for therapy.
How long are therapy sessions?

Self-pay/OON (out-of-network): In-person or virtual are 60 minutes in length.
Walk & Talk sessions are 60 or 90 minutes in length.
How much do sessions cost?
Insurance In-person or virtual rates are determined by your provider after Headway confirms your eligibility.
Self-pay/OON In-person or virtual rates are $150
Walk & Talk sessions are $120 or $150
What if I can’t afford therapy?
A sliding scale can be explored. Sliding scale fees are based on individual circumstances and balanced with APPCW practice financial viability. Income verification is required.

Insurance clients make payments through Headway.
Self-pay/OON/Walk & Talk clients may make payments using VISA, MasterCard, AMEX, and Discover or with HSA/FSA cards.

Yes, these are also known as virtual sessions.
Can I contact you in between sessions?
Contact outside of your scheduled session time is only allowed during business hours/days. Communication is allowed via phone or through your client portal messaging tool and may only encompass scheduling or questions regarding homework. There is a 24 hour turn around. If you are experiencing an emergency, then scheduling you to come in is offered. If I am unable to accommodate you or respond, then you will need to follow any emergency protocol procedures put in place in your plan and dial 911, 988, or go to your nearest emergency room hospital for care. If you are a parent needing to discuss your child, a virtual or phone session can be scheduled. Insurance fees will apply. Self-pay or OON clients incur a $30 fee beyond the 5-minute mark and a $60 fee beyond 15 minutes and up through 30 minutes. Anything beyond 30 minutes is considered a session fee.
Good Faith Estimates
An initial estimate is provided after consultation, but before the initial evaluation intake session. If it is determined afterwards that a new estimate is necessary, it will be provided before the 2nd therapy session.
What is a Good Faith Estimate and how is it established?
A Good Faith Estimate is an estimation of cost you can reasonably expect to pay for my services to address your mental health care needs.
Counseling/Therapy is specific to each client’s need and area of life, therefore length of treatment is dependent on therapist recommendations, issue/s being addressed, severity of the issue/s, and the interest of the client. Until an initial evaluation is completed, we will not have a clear picture of your specific needs. This is why you are provided with an initial estimate and then a secondary estimate if deemed necessary. I typically see therapy patients for 12 weekly sessions for a cost of $150 each and later the sessions are spaced out to every 2 weeks or once a month. In some cases, a client’s issue/s may take a little longer to process and may need additional sessions. In other cases, progress is achieved sooner, and therapy is concluded. This is a conversation and mutual agreement both therapist and client make as therapy progresses.
If you have questions about an estimate, please contact me.
Details of the Estimate
The following is a list of expected charges for counseling/therapy services:
Initial Individual Intake Evaluation Session $200
Individual Counseling/Therapy Sessions $150
Disclaimer
The Good Faith Estimate shows the costs of services that are reasonably expected to address your mental health care needs. The Good Faith Estimate does not include any unknown or unexpected costs that may arise during treatment. You could be charged more if complications or special circumstances occur and this will be discussed with me. If this happens, federal law allows you to dispute (appeal) the bill. Please contact me if you have any questions.
